Jobs Interview Tips

• Do not smoke, chew gum, or eat garlic beforehand.
• Wear suitable interview clothes.
• Take copies of your CV with you.
• Arrive on time for your job interview.
• Any applications handed before the interview begins, are to be filled in as accurately as possible, make sure they match the information in your Cv and Cover Letter.
• Always greet the interviewer by his/her last name and try to pronounce it correctly.
• Have a good firm handshake.
• Look alert and interested. Scan the room once and then keep your eyes on the interviewer.
• Wait until you are offered a chair before you sit down.
• Stress your achievements.
• Always conduct yourself professionally and if something beyond your control occurs, show a sense of humor.
• Be enthusiastic and show it in your replies and body language.
• Answer the interview question by more than a simple yes or no but try not to go over the 60 second limit.
• Avoid at all cost complaining about your current or former employer in your job interview.
• Do not answer questions about politics or religion if the job is completely unrelated.

Tujuan seksyen ini adalah untuk menguji daya kesedaran calon terhadap perkara yang berlaku di Malaysia dan dunia sekelilingnya. Calon dikehendaki mengetahui secara umum mengenai pengauditan, ekonomi, kewangan, perdagangan, teknologi, pentadbiran kerajaan dan sosial.
Soalan-soalan akan ditarafkan kepada peringkat pengetahuan am yang difikirkan patut diketahui oleh rakyat Malaysia yang mempunyai Ijazah Sarjana Muda Kepujian di dalam pelbagai bidang akademik.
Siswazah-siswazah yang sering mengikuti perkembangan-perkembangan dunia melalui media massa dan media elektronik seperti surat khabar, majalah, internet dan buku-buku akan berkelebihan untuk menjawab soalan-soalan ini.

Dalam seksyen ini calon dikehendaki menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang dikemukakan menggunakan:
(i) Kemahiran Logik
Dalam seksyen ini calon dikehendaki menggunakan segala pengetahuan yang ada, kemahiran berfikir serta kemahiran mengaplikasi maklumat-maklumat tersebut untuk memilih jawapan yang tepat dalam menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang dikemukakan.

(ii) Kemahiran Menginterpretasi Data
Calon diberi beberapa soalan menyelesaikan masalah yang menggunakan perangkaan. Perangkaan yang diberi perlu dianalisa untuk menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang dikemukakan. Penggunaan graf, jadual dan sebagainya digalakkan agar mudah untuk calon memberi jawapan.

(iii) Konsep-konsep Matematik
Konsep Matematik yang perlu digunakan merangkumi algebra dan geometri. Asas-asas Matematik tersebut tidak melebihi Sukatan Pelajaran Menengah Atas (SPM). Oleh yang demikian soalan-soalan ini dianggap sesuai untuk kesemua calon.
Calon-calon siswazah jurusan Matematik tidak mendapat kelebihan di seksyen ini kerana soalan-soalan yang dikemukakan merupakan soalan logik. Proses penyelesaian masalah tersebut mengaplikasikan konsep-konsep Matematik di peringkat Sukatan Pelajaran Menengah Atas (SPM).

1. 8 pasukan bola sepak mengambil bahagian dalam sebuah pertandingan. Jika perlawanan diadakan secara liga (setiap pasukan mesti bertemu antara satu sama lain) berapakah jumlah permainan yang akan dilangsungkan dalam pertandingan tersebut?

Aspek yang diukur ialah:
i. Kemahiran memindahkan maklumat;
ii. Kefahaman; dan
iii. Kemahiran tatabahasa dan kosa-kata

Esei 1
Budaya perpustakaan masih sesuatu yang asing. Sesetengah golongan seperti pelajar hanya mengunjungi perpustakaan apabila ada tugasan atau untuk bertemu rakan. Pelajar yang dianggap sebagai golongan terdidik dalam masyarakat amnya mengehadkan bacaan kepada bidang pengkajian mereka sahaja. Kebanyakan pelajar tidak membaca buku selain daripada buku teks. Malangnya ramai pelajar hanya bergantung kepada nota kuliah. Akibatnya, pelajar kini tidak dapat menyuarakan idea bernas dan inovatif kepada sesuatu permasalahan.
Permasalahannya sekarang pelajar yang menimba ilmu kebanyakannya adalah mencapai matlamat kebendaan duniawi dari mendapat nilai dalam pendidikan itu sendiri. Budaya materialistic iaitu lima C: Career, Car, Condominium, Country Club & Card kini menjadi matlamat akhir pelajar. Ronald Dore menyebut perkara ini sebagai Diploma Disease iaitu pelajaran yang tergesa-gesa untuk mendapatkan sijil bukan kerana nilai dalaman pendidikan tetapi kerana nilai ekonomi dan martabat sosial yang mungkin boleh diperolehi olehnya.
Sekarang ramai pelajar yang mengejar ilmu untuk mendapatkan ganjaran duniawi. Kepentingan materialistik ini memang penting dalam kehidupan sekarang tetapi ia hendaklah dipastikan tidak menjadi matlamat akhir pendidikan. Julien Benda menyebut hal ini sebagai betrayal of the intelectuals. Menurut Benda, mereka berkhianat kerana tanggungjawab moral mereka sebagai kaum intelek kerana mereka lebih mementingkan nilai-nilai praktis itu sendiri dari nilai-nilai ilmu. Ada juga pihak yang mempunyai minat memiliki buku dan menyimpannya di rak tanpa memanfaatkannya. Hal ini akan melahirkan pelajar lulusan sarjana yang tidak mempunyai nilai ilmu yang sebenarnya dan mengabaikan tanggungjawab mereka sebagai kaum intelektual. Kita perlu memastikan sistem pendidikan yang sedia ada tidak akan melahirkan ilmuan Frankenstein yang mengembangkan ilmunya yang menindas masyarakat.
Universiti tempatan sekarang lebih hangat bercakap tentang pengkorporatan dan pembinaan kampus yang lebih besar daripada pembinaan intelektual pelajar. Pembudayaan ilmu adalah satu usaha yang berterusan dan bukanlah berbentuk isu semasa. Pihak universiti hendaklah dalam kalangan masyarakat kampus.
Oleh itu, untuk Malaysia mencapai cita-citanya menjadi sebuah negara yang maju pembudayaan ilmu hendaklah dititikberatkan dan dilakukan secara menyeluruh dalam setiap lapisan masyarakat. Pembudayaan ilmu hendaklah tidak menjadi budaya yang elit dan tertumpu di menara gading sahaja. Ilmuan universiti perlu ke sekolah-sekolah untuk menyemarakkan budaya ilmu. Kelab yang berasaskan konsep pembudayaan ilmu perlu diwujudkan dan berada di bawah naungan universiti.

Esei 2
The evidence is clear. Wherever there is permanent ice – Greenland, Antarctica, the Alps, the Himalayas – that ice is melting. Anybody who has been to high mountains will have noticed this fact. Scientists agree that the cause for this melting is very simple. The earth’s atmosphere is warming up.
The melting ice, in turn, is causing sea levels to rise as the extra water from the melting ice pours into the oceans. Already sea levels have risen about 8 inches (20 cm) in recent years and scientists believe they could rise at least another 20 inches (50 cm) by the year 2100. This could put many heavily populated coastal areas at risk. Coastal Florida, the Nile Delta, Bangladesh and many other areas would end up under water.
Along with rising air temperatures, the ocean temperatures are also rising. This has brought changes in weather patterns, with more frequent and more severe storms. Risings ocean temperatures are also one of the factors in the death of coral reefs in the southern oceans. These reefs are the natural homes to 65 per cent of the world’s fish.
The warmer air temperatures are also causing changes in the world’s climate zones. In Europe, the southern countries along the Mediterranean are already becoming drier ad more desert-like. However, countries in Northern Europe, such as Germany and England, have experienced terrible floods from too much rain. Worldwide, agriculture will soon be negatively affected in many places. Life will become more difficult in the poorer countries of Asia and Africa, which already suffer from poor soil and lack of water. Millions of people could be forced to leave their homes and countries in search of food and a better life.
Why are temperatures rising? Scientists no longer have any doubts about the cause. The burning of fossil fuels like coal and petroleum releases carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere. CO2 has always been a part of the atmosphere. However, over the past 150 years, the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere has increased enormously. At the same time, the forests that once absorbed CO2 are being cut down. The result is a thick blanket of CO2 that covers the earth, making it warmer.
There is only one way to slow down this warming of the earth and that is by reducing the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere. This can be done by replacing fossils fuels with new energy sources – such as wind power, solar power, or hydrogen fuel cell – that do not release CO2 or other polluting chemicals.

Dalam seksyen ini calon dikemukakan isu-isu yang menjemput pandangan tentang sesuatu masalah. Contohnya: “Cara-cara untuk menyelesaikan masalah kesesakan lalulintas di Kuala Lumpur.”
Penilaian adalah berdasarkan pendapat-pendapat calon yang disusun dengan jelas, teratur dan munasabah. Objektif utama adalah untuk mengukur daya kreativiti dan kebolehan calon dalam penguasaan bahasa Melayu.

SEKSYEN E – ESEI BAHASA INGGERIS

Masa: 1 jam
Bilangan Soalan: 3 jawab 1
Panjang Esei: Bilangan perkataan adalah tidak dihadkan.
Dalam seksyen ini calon dikemukakan isu-isu yang memerlukan pandangan tentang sesuatu masalah. Contohnya: “Electronic Government in Malaysia.”
Penilaian adalah berdasarkan pendapat-pendapat calon yang disusun dengan jelas, teratur dan munasabah. Objektif utama adalah untuk mengukur daya kreativiti dan kebolehan calon dalam penguasaan Bahasa Inggeris.
Tips Menjawab Soalan ExamPTD
Nasihat-nasihat berikut diharap dapat membantu calon-calon dalam peperiksaan ini.
Soalan Objektif
(Soalan-soalan di dalam Seksyen A dan B)
(a) Calon perlu peka bahawa kesemua calon yang menduduki peperiksaan ini adalah dari pelbagai bidang akademik. Soalan-soalan yang dikemukakan juga meliputi kesemua bidang akademik. Oleh yang demikian terdapat beberapa soalan yang berkemungkinan sukar untuk individu tertentu menjawab kerana berada di luar bidang pengkhususan. Soalan-soalan tersebut, walau bagaimanapun, mungkin sesuai untuk calon lain yang berpengetahuan dalam bidang tersebut. Oleh itu, jika terdapat soalan yang tidak boleh dijawab dinasihatkan agar calon tidak membuang masa dan terus menjawab soalan-soalan yang berikutnya. Apabila masa mengizinkan kembali kepada soalan tersebut.
(b) Soalan objektif adalah soalan aneka pilihan, 4 opsyen jawapan dikemukakan dan calon perlu memilih 1. Jawapan yang dikehendaki bukan sahaja yang betul tetapi yang paling tepat. Apabila membaca dan mengkaji ke semua opsyen yang dikemukakan kerana yang diperlukan adalah jawapan yang paling tepat. Dengan meninggalkan jawapan-jawapan yang difikirkan salah, opsyen jawapan akan berkurangan dan ini dapat membantu dalam proses pemilihan jawapan yang tepat.
(c) Bagi merekod jawapan, calon dibekalkan borang khas yang akan diproses menggunakan komputer. Ditegaskan agar calon menggunakan pensil 2B sahaja. Jika alatulis-alatulis lain digunakan, jawapan calon tidak diambilkira kerana komputer tidak dapat memprosesnya. Jika calon perlu membuat perkiraan, jawapan contoh dan sebagainya, gunakan kertas lain atau buku soalan. Borang yang dibekalkan adalah khusus untuk merekod jawapan.
Soalan Esei
(Soalan-soalan dalam Seksyen D dan E)
(a) Soalan-soalan esei terdapat di dalam dua seksyen iaitu Seksyen D (esei Bahasa Melayu) dan Seksyen E (esei Bahasa Inggeris). Bagi setiap seksyen calon perlu memilih satu daripada tiga soalan yang dikemukakan.
(b) Masa 1 jam bagi menjawab setiap esei. Tujuan calon diberi masa masa panjang adalah untuk menggalakkan penulisan esei yang bernas, teratur, teknik persembahan serta susunan perkataan yang terbaik. Bilangan perkataan adalah tidak dihadkan. Tulisan perlu kemas dan calon digalakkan menggunakan gaya bahasa yang bervariasi, di samping penggunaan kosa kata yang luas dan tepat. Calon-calon juga seharusnya dapat mengemukakan idea-idea dengan jelas dan matang serta disertakan contoh yang tepat dan sesuai. Oleh yang demikian calon dinasihatkan untuk menggunakan sekurang-kurangnya 10 minit untuk merancang, membuat rangka jawapan dan sebagainya sebelum esei ditulis.

Ministry of Defence was established on 31 August 1957 and officially began operations in a building located in Brockman Road (now Jalan Dato’ Onn), Kuala Lumpur. This building also housed the office of the first Defence Minister, the late Tun Abdul Razak bin Datuk Hussein,  who served from 31 August 1957 to 22 September 1970.The first building of the Ministry of Defence was constructed by the Federal Government at a cost of RM122,000.00 and was officially opened by Tun Haji Abdul Razak bin Datuk Hussein on 18 March 1960. The building constructed in Jalan Padang Tembak also housed the Chiefs and Officers of the Malaysian Armed Forces of the three services.

KERJA KOSONG LPP 2013

Lembaga Pertubuhan Peladang (LPP) ditubuhkan pada 14 Februari tahun 1973 melalui penggubalan Akta LPP 1973 (Akta 110), Akta Lembaga Pertubuhan Peladang. Penubuhan LPP adalah bertujuan untuk memikul tanggungjawab membantu mempertingkat ekonomi dan sosial masyarakat tani di bawah satu badan yang berperanan khusus.
LPP mempelawa individu yang berkelayakan untuk jawatan berikut:

There are several classes of job interview questions:


1. Skills based questions
These job interview questions are related to specific job skills outlined in essential criteria. Candidates are asked to give examples of their work, or outline their duties and performance in key roles.

2. Knowledge based questions Many jobs have a required knowledge base. Interview questions are used to find out the depth of knowledge, and to check and confirm candidates have the essential information required to do the work involved.

3. Technical questions These are a different type of knowledge based job interview questions, and they relate to the technical issues of the position. In some job interviews, a person on the interview panel is appointed to ask these questions, and give expert evaluation of answers to the panel.

4.Problem solving questions • The problem solving job interview questions are now standard practice. Problem solving questions are used to define skill levels and the ability to deal with difficulties. • Experience related questions This is a range of job interview questions designed to test prior experience across the range of job skills contained in the position. They include additional questions to clarify the scope of candidates? experience. They also deal with issues related to the job, particularly where levels of experience relate directly to the complexity of the work.

5.Interpersonal skills questions These are job interview questions which explore workplace relationships, team roles, leadership, and other personal characteristics of candidates. Questions can range from dealing with stress to contributing to a team.

6.Assessing job interview questions Interview assessments use the merit principle to decide successful applicants based on their answers to the job interview questions. A panel discussion and consensus, or a formal evaluation process using an 'evaluation grid', (a step by step analysis of answers) is conducted.

7.The selection process Interviewers select the candidate who meets all job criteria to an acceptable standard. The panel then makes a recommendation for appointment to management.
